Elmiyarni

Elmiyarni, a dedicated plant nursery owner from Solok, has been running her business for the past two years. Patience and perseverance are the keys to Elmiyarni’s success in producing high-quality plant seedlings. Accompanied by her husband and sometimes her children, they work together to prepare plant seedlings in containers measuring 95 x 63 cm with transparent plastic roofs for protection from direct sunlight. After a process taking about 30-40 days, the seedlings are ready for harvest. These seedlings are then sold to farmers at IDR 100,000 (US$ 6.40) per tray. In addition to income from selling the seedlings, Elmiyarni earns additional income from working on the farm, helping her farmer customers cultivate the farm.
